Interested in working with us
Apogee San Tan is part of the Apogee Education Affiliate Network that includes 50 other campuses nationwide with more being added for the 2025 academic year. Apogee San Tan is the only Apogee currently in the state of Arizona which gives us a competitive advantage over all other schools in our area. Apogee exists to reseed freedom in our children and in our nation through education for the entire family. We promote freedom and sovereignty through gaining valuable life skills versus regurgitation of useless information. Our young leaders get real hands-on experience in building a business, understanding how health equals wealth and where food comes from, all while coping to be independent citizens through project-based learning.
Does the thought of education being conducted now the same way it was 50 years ago make you cringe? Are you a professional delegator? Do you believe in a growth-mindset? Do you consider yourself a leader and innovator?
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a full-time coach that will work with our young leaders, currently ages 5-10 with the adaptability to add more children later. Our coach to young leader ratio is 1:20 and we carefully audition and select each family that joins our program.
This is not a traditional teaching role, and we are not seeking a traditional teaching background, unless you are ready to break free from the handholding by “subject matter experts” who think they know what children should be learning.
Our motto is coaching, not teaching or lecturing. There is no grading and no homework. Patience is key with the different ages and learning styles. We want back to basics. Back to useful skills and knowledge. Back to what made this wonderful country become the American Dream!
Required Qualifications·
Must believe in, promote, and live by Apogee’s Code
Bravery, Integrity, Honesty, Honor, Loyalty, Compassion, and Politeness
Must be willing to engage in 1 hour of physical fitness each day on campus as a coach and inspiration to our learners- this is a non-negotiable and not up for debate, if this is non-starter for you, please do not inquire/apply

Must read or have read Unschooling Rules by Clark Aldrich
CPR and First Aid certified by first day of employment
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint card upon acceptance of job offer
Must be 18 years or older
Recommended Qualifications·
Entrepreneurial skills; including current or prior small business owner
Prior coaching and/or mentoring
Ability to work with children ages 4-12
Ability to work with virtually no direction or guidance; should possess self-starter attitude and mentality.
Be willing to let our young leaders learn from their mistakes and encourage them to resolve their own problems.
Punctual and time management skills
WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR:
Red pen expert ready to mark-up and grade; traditional K-12 education teacher who thinks nothing is wrong with the current modern model; perfectionist and/or expert- must be able to critique and provide feedback, but willing to coach based on individual learning styles. No degree required; however, prior work and/or life experience will be heavily evaluated.
Pay Range/Salary:
$18.00 – 21.00/per hour. Hours are 7:50AM to 3:30PM Monday through Friday. We run on 5-6 week sprints, where the last Friday of each sprint adjourns at 11:30AM.
There is a break in between each sprint. Our coaches will get all major holidays off in addition to the week of Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas, and two spring breaks (one in late winter and one in early spring).
This is a 1099 contract position and there are currently no benefits offered. Our contracts run on a year to year basis, so each academic year, the contract will need to be renewed. Renewals are based on prior year progress. Pay range is subject to change (via increase) during each renewable period.
Tuition Discount:
Tuition discount will be offered for coaches own children that enroll in Apogee San Tan. Information will be discussed during interview process.
